OPI Fly and sloppy stampin'!

It's been hectic for the past few days so I've been slacking on my posts, sorry! Today's mani was one of my favorites to date, and once I can learn to perfect my stamping I will definitely try this one out again.

First, a swatch of OPI-Fly. I'm so in love with this color, and I definitely need a full size bottle instead of the mini that I have. It photographed too brightly, IRL it is a deeper teal and so gorgeous!

1 coat Nail Envy, 2 coats OPI-Fly, 1 coat SV. EASY CLEANUP!!!

I added some stamping and loved the tribal look combined with this color. I had a lot of trouble with this stamp so I'm only showing you my shorter right hand instead of my beautiful long left hand because the stamp was so messed up.
Any suggestions on how to master stamps like this, that need to be aligned just right?
What's on your nails right NOW?!

Gold Digger

Today I have a little sponging for you! I used a base of OPI Nail Envy then sponged on Orly-Luxe, which is a gold foil polish. Then I sponged a lighter coat of OPI-Spark De Triomphe on the tips and voila, gold-digger nails! I love love love gradient tips on nude nails! I felt like this looked like I just dipper my fingers into a pot of gold and diamonds or something!

What do you think of this look??

Ruby Red Slippers

Today's post is a really cute polish duo from CND I bought last summer.

This is 2 coats of CND-Just Red! as a base, and 2 coats of the red glitter Effects polish. (I will have to go check the actual name of the glitter and get back to you.)
I LOVED the way this turned out, it reminded me of Dorothy's slippers from Wizard of Oz. I was born and raised in Kansas, so Dorothy holds a special place in my heart :)
CND-Just Red! was really easy to work with. I would call it a cross between a jelly and a creme. Cleanup wasn't bad but I had to be careful because this polish can stain pretty badly.

Zoya Ivanka

Here is part 2 of my free Zoya 'purchase.' I first saw this polish before I had my blog, on several different sites. I have loved it since the first swatch! I wish the pictures were more color accurate, but I had no sunlight :( I will definitely re-swatch this outside on a sunny day!

1 coat OPI-Nail Envy, followed by 1 coat of OPI-Jade Is the New Green, 2 coats of Ivanka and 1 coat of SV. The polish is sheer so I would reccomend layering over something else! It also looks gorgeous over black.

This photo is the most color-accurate that I captured. The polish definitely flashes a beautiful yellow IRL.

Zoya's website describes Ivanka as: "Mermaid green sparkling metallic. An expensive-looking metallic shade for summer."
I agree with that but I must say, I wish I had this polish over the holidays because I would have been wearing it all the time!
What are your favorite Zoya's?

Zoya Kalista

Today I'm showing you 1 of 2 free polishes I got from Zoya's New Years deal! ( I paid 6.95 for shipping) These were my first Zoya's, the one that I'll show you tomorrow has been on my wish list for a long time, but this one was a different story.. I browsed through Zoya's website foreverrrrr it seemed, looking at their samples then googling swatches of the polishes and changing my mind because they looked so much different on the swatches than the website. Finally I gave up and picked a random polish off the screen without bothering to look up swatches. I was so pleasantly surprised when my polishes showed up in the mail and I got to paint this beauty on my nails! I would probably never have bought this polish in a store, but I've fallen in love!
So, here is Zoya Kalista:

1 coat OPI-Nail Envy followed by 2 coats of Kalista and SV.

So pretty! Zoya's website describes the polish as follows: " Dark espresso brown with plum-purple undertones and strong golden shimmer. Choose this when you want maximum fall glamour with minimal effort."
I'm thinking I need to break out my CND Effects polishes to do some layering with Kalista!

Did you order your 2 free Zoya's, and what did you choose?!

Girly French

I started today's post with a simple french mani and spiced it up with a little stamping.

I started freehanding OPI-Alpine Snow on the tips. I cleaned up the lines with acetone and a makeup brush and added one coat of SV. Then I stamped with CND-Blackjack and added a spot of SV on each nail to attach the rhinestones. Then another coat of SV and all done.
My stamping got a little messy on some fingers, but what do you think of this look?

Yummy layers!

I was so happy with the layering combo I came up with for today's post! Get ready, it's a bit pic-heavy :)

My stubby little right hand :)

I started with 1 coat of OPI-Nail Envy and 2 coats of OPI-Do You Think I'm Tex-Y. Then one coat of CG-Snow Globe and 1 coat of OPI-Servin' Up Sparkle, followed by one more coat of Tex-y and SV.

I couldn't stop staring at this when I was finished, so pretty. I wish the pictures did it more justice, it's beautiful IRL. I may need to get my hands on a full-sized bottle of Tex-y instead of my measly mini bottle.

Some ugly step-by-step photos: this is with one coat of Snow Globe.

And one coat of Servin' Up Sparkle.

What do you think of this jelly sandwich? And any reccomendations on more awesome jelly polishes to layer with??

Muddy Rose Stamp

For today's mani I used 1 coat of CND-Muddy Rose stamped with Sally Hansen Silver Chrome pen.

I don't use Muddy Rose that often but I LOVED the way it looked with the silver chrome stamp. I also have one coat of SV on top.

Leopard- Mania

I know, I know, 2 leopard print manis in the same week.... Get over it! Ha, I'm just loving the leopard look lately :)
As promised, this is yesterday's mani complete with some leopard stamping. Simple, but so fun! Who cares if it's only January, I'm ready for spring nails!

Do you have a go-to polish you like to use with leopard print?

More Nicki Minaj

Today's mani is pretty simple:

2 coats each of OPI-Did It On 'Em and Fly. I LOVED the formula for these, very easy to work with, opaque in 2 coats, and very easy cleanup. Tomorrow's mani will be these nails with a little stamping!!
What were your favorites from this OPI collection??

Pink Friday Leopard

Today I have a mani made from a few polishes in the new Nicki Minaj(sp?) collection from OPI. This mani is super girly and although those aren't the type of manis I always go for, I was really happy with the outcome of this one (besides the pinky nail in the following picture).

I used 1 coat OPI Nail Envy, 1 coat CND Stickey Base Coat, 2 coats OPI-Pink Friday --3 coats OPI-Metallic 4 Life on Ring-- I stamped with CND-Blackjack and finished with 1 coat of SV.

I don't normally photograph my right hand, but I wanted to show you how much more I liked the mani when I stamped all with leopard and no stripes. Although I AM left-handed, so my right hand's polish always look better, I always seem to break nails on my right hand so I don't even bother to photograph it. So here you go, a rare right-hand photo.

I loved the polishes, but next time will probably use a layer of black before Metallic 4 Life so I can get it opaque faster.
What do you guys think of this new OPI collection?

OPI DS-Reflection

Today is a random swatch for you, OPI DS-Reflection. I've had this polish for a few years now along with a few others from the Designer Series, and I rarely wear them.

It didn't photograph quite as well as I'd hoped, but I took this in a basement laundry room instead of the sunlight that I needed and didn't have.
What do you think of the OPI DS polishes compared to other holos??
